# A Ladder Rung Problem

This little problem about the number of rungs in a ladder was presented in our local newspaper in an article about The Problem With Math in Oregon Schools. It seemed like a nice problem for an adult to present to a student of almost any age, if State educators are correct in expecting a 3rd year student would be able to solve it.
