# A&J Micro Drive Replaces the CAI Stringy Floppy

The A&J Micro Drive is the “new and improved” version of the old [CAI](http://localhost/company/cai-instruments-inc/) [ESF stringy floppy](http://localhost/product/cai-esf-mass-storage-device/), a very high speed tape device which approaches the speed and flexibility of disk drives but at a price of only about $150.

This system uses a tiny wafer cassette about the size of a large book of matches to store up to 70k bytes of data. Typical loading time is 16K in 15 seconds.

The unit is small, reliable, and very professionally put together. Manuals that come with the drive are straightforward and indepth.
