Well, I use both 3 1/2″ and 5 1/4″ drives on my systems. I like to be able to cope with any format that comes along. Advertisements for quad density 5 1/4″ (just called quad from now on) drives are getting rare these days. At the same time, the price of 1.2 MByte floppies has really dropped. Wouldn’t it be nice to use these newer drives on the QL? With a couple minor changes you can (if only as a quad 1440 sector drive).
