# Dealing With The BBS

This will take your computer, a terminal program, and a MODEM. For the 2068, the most common setup is the 2050 (Anchor) MODEM, along with SmartTerm II. For the QL, the horizon is wider – any “external” MODEM will work at 1200 BAUD. For terminal programs, again, the choice is wider, with QL Term, QLink, QL-52 being the main contenders.
