# Helpful Hint #1

It can be difficult to insert a peripheral device (i.e. Trump or Gold Card) into the expansion slot of the QL while they are both horizontal. If you stand the the QL on it’s end with the expansion slot up, you will find that the device will slide in or out without snagging any of the components on the card.
