# What is a RAM Disk?

I’m often asked how to make a backup copy of a program when the user only has one disk drive. The simplest answer is to make a copy on a microdrive cartridge, then copy it back to the disk drive, onto another diskette. But what happens when the files are to large to fit on a cartridge?
