# ZX-TERM*80, The New T/S1000 Telecommunications Program

In early April, 1987 I got a phone call from [Fred Nachbaur](http://localhost/indiv/fred-nachbaur/) of [Silicon Mountain Computers](http://localhost/company/silicon-mountain-computers/) in Canada. He was looking for a 2050 modem and some modem expertise. During the course of our discussion Fred told me what he had in mind. He told me that he along with [Harvey Taylor](http://localhost/indiv/harvey-taylor/) (author of [MINI-XMOD](http://localhost/tag/mini-xmod/)) and [Wilf Rigter](http://localhost/indiv/wilf-rigter/) were in the final stages of putting together a full featured terminal and communications program for the T/S1000 (T/SI500, ZX81) series of computers.
