After Timex exited the market, they disposed of excess inventory as quickly as possible.

Parker Electronics incorporated the T/S 1500 into a [HVAC controller](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heating,_ventilation,_and_air_conditioning)
 for Carrier installations. According to a brief mention in the [VISTA Newsletter](/issue/vista-newsletter-v3-n2/)
, Parker “used T/S 1000s as control devices and 2040 printers for read-outs.”

The company went to the trouble of having a sticker made to replace the Timex label. One has to wonder if customers were curious about all the extra markings on the keyboard.

Based on an ad in the [Winter 1994 issue of ZXir QLive Alive](https://archive.org/details/ZXirQLiveAlive/ZXir%20QLive%20Alive%20Vol%2004%20No%204/page/n19/mode/2up)
, Parker Electronics rebranded the 2040 printer.

Parker was a joint venture with Carrier Corporation that performed research, development, manufacturing, and sales and marketing for the heating, ventilation and air conditioning industry.

In 1989, after selling off all the hardware, a Parker employee reached out to user groups to find a buyer for a number of cases of 2040 paper. Rod Gowen, of [RMG Enterprises](/company/rmg-enterprises/)
, ended up purchasing the lot.
