Steven J. Veltri, a vice president at R.I.S.T., wrote How to Make Your Computer Talk, a book that described interfacing the General Instruments SPO256-AL2 to multiple microcomputers. Veltri was formerly a product marketing engineer for the speech synthesis lines at General Instruments.

His book described the product R.I.S.T. marketed.
