Held May 5-7, 1989, in New Carrollton, Maryland, and sponsored by the Capital Area Timex Sinclair Users Group.

Seminars included:

  • The TS2068 and More BBS about modems

Nigel Searle gave a presentation, attended by about 50 people.

There was the Sinclair Milwaukee Users Group had a demo of the video digitizer, described in their newsletter.

The Greater Cleveland T/S Users Group and SINCUS were among the other user groups in attendance.

Vendors included Zebra Systems, who offered books on Timex computers, software for the TS1000, Alphacom 32 printers, some defective TS2068s, TS1000 accessories, some TS2050 modems and a Timex Portugal disk system for the TS2068.

A+ Computer Response were selling QL computers on an as is basis.

Jack Dohany had a Larken system running and demonstrated several of his programs.

Johnson Computers offered reconditioned TS2068s for $62, also 2068 SCLD chips for $25, some TS1500s and several disk drives.

Sharp’s had new QL’s for sale at $90, plus software and peripherals for the QL. They also had a C5 vehicle, Clive Sinclair’s ill-fated venture into battery-powered personal transportation.

Wood and Wind Computing offered business software for the QL. They had a QL system, complete with monitor and printer, to demonstrate their software.

Other vendors included Peter Hale, John Pazmino, Mike Fink, under the banner of Domino Cubes, Quantum Levels and Time Designs Magazine.

About 100 persons attending and about another 20 persons manning the tables, in addition to an unknown number in the seminars.

Advertising included mailings to 5,000 known QL users, 5,000 TS2068/TS1000 owners and a 24 hour bulletin board system.
