Tim H got his ZX Printer/TS 2040 printer/Arduino/Windows project working with his new Arduino shield for connecting the one of the printers to the Arduino.
Ryan Gray updated us on his user-defined graphics character editor and adapting it to work with the Zebra OS-64 cartridge.
We had a fun conversation with Tim about computers in New Zealand and some of the work he did during the 80s.
We spent a lot of time talking about disks and various disk sizes before turning to an in-depth conversation about how to make an EPROM cartridge. Adam convinced us to all work on the project of documenting how to make a cartridge.
That turned into a general conversation about TS cartridges for the 1500 and 2068.
Getting back on the topic of making a cartridge, everyone had a lot of helpful input.
We briefly talked about the possibility that the TS 2068 may have supported MIDI through the joystick ports. We’ll dig into that more in future sessions.
