John Houlihan

Recruited from South Bend Toy (a division of Milton Bradley) by John Maliskas, Director of Design at Timex, Houlihan was instrumental in recruiting Gary Grimes to Timex.

Like Grimes, Houlihan started out in car design at General Motors. Houlihan worked at Smith Corona, General Electric and even did a brief stint at Texas Instruments before landing at South Bend Toy.

At Timex, Houlihan designed watches and was involved in the creation of the Triathalon watch, designed by Grimes. Houlihan worked at Timex for 20 years, rising to Director of Design World Wide.

A more extensive history of John Houlihan and his work is available on Dean’s Garage.
