A few weeks ago Rusty Townsend of Richmond, B.C., let us know about a BUG in the spreadsheet we published in the FEBRUARY 1987 issue.

The BUG was that you could not divide anything by anything!

Of course, Kris, the author of the BUG, fixed it and is now telling you how to do it too!

Hi! First, you will find a program at the end of the tape… these are the codes for fixing up the spreadsheet.

Load the ORIGINAL program and STOP it using the POKE 23681,0 routine. Now load the NEW codes using: LOAD “FIX IT”CODE

When the codes are loaded we must change some lines in the BASIC program itself. These lines are:

7 PRINT AT VAL “0”,VAL “0”;: LET L=VAL “USR 29970”

9999 SAVE “SHEET” LINE 9000: SAVE “SHEET”CODE VAL “29970”,VAL “15870”: SAVE “SHEET”CODE VAL “64494”,VAL “920”: VERIFY “”: VERIFY “”CODE: VERIFY “”CODE

Now, all you have to do is save the program onto another tape by running line 9999!

I am really sorry for the BUG and apologize for all the inconvenience it may have caused…

Kris

P.S. Thanks Rusty!
