GREAT NEWS! TIMEX SINCLAIR USER magazine does NOT appear to be dead, as we last reported, but it may be changing colors! We hope to be hearing from them soon: though in the newsletter press there is some skepticism about this magazine’s reappearance in its original form, now that TIMEX is joined by SYNC who is out of publication. TIMEX has had 2050 modem manufactured, almost released them, and then decided not to do so at the last moment. Doug Dewey saw one in operation in the TIMEX Atlanta office in early February and thought it looked fine. The packaging and unit were all finished but the software cassette and documentation were preproduction versions. We understand there were a few minor problems in the modem and that a software company is still owed some money for their part of the software package. And the latest is that the modems have 611 been shipped back to Anchor, the manufacturing company.
