Eric Johnson obtained a large stock of engineering samples, production prototypes and surplus Timex Sinclair items from a relative who worked for Timex in Connecticut. Among the most notable were a series of TS1500 circuit boards, from an early prototype board, to a later compact design from Portugal.
He supplied Wes Brzozowski with several “dead” SCLDs, which Wes used in his series of articles about the broken bank switching system in the TS 2068.
Eric was also an amateur electronics hobbyist and worked on developing some of his own projects.
Eric was the lead plant mechanic for the Bethune Point Wastewater Treatment Plant in Daytona Beach. He passed away in 2006 at 59 as the result of an explosion at his work.
