Timex Sinclair Online User Group meeting September 5, 2022

Date: September 5, 2022

In this week’s meeting of our group, we were joined by Joe Vandezande, a Timex enthusiast. Joe told us about his maxed-out Timex/Sinclair 1000 that he attempted to mount in a Hazeltine computer terminal.

Andy Hradesky, a long-term TS enthusiast, joined us and regaled us with tales of his experiences. Andy owned a number of Timex and Sinclair computers and was, at one time, editor of Timelinez, the newsletter for several user groups in California.

Evie’s work and progress led to a spirited discussion about implementation and features.

Tim Horner showed us his project to print to the ZX Printer/TS 2040 from an Arduino and using a filament 3D printer to make new belts for the ZX Printer.

Jeff Kuhlmann joined us and told us about his experiences trying to make a bootable EPROM image for a TS 2068 cartridge.

And, at the end, after a fascinating and far reaching conversation, David showed a short video art program that exploits a bug in the DRAW command in TS 2068 BASIC.
