This LARKEN LKDOS utility will read a disk and take all the bad blocks out of the catalog, then save the new catalog to disk. Doing this will prevent the computer to try and save on a bad block (CRC ER’s when saving) which may result in a bad save or even a system crash (NMI-SAVE).
If a bad block is encountered and is used by a file in the catalog, the computer will ask you if you want to delete that file. Press “Y” if you want to, “N” if you don’t.
This utility will work on any disk format.
When the program has loaded, RUN 9999 to save to disk.
