| Bits and Pieces | Sinclair Research Ltd. suffering from severe cash-flow problems has been bailed out by Robert Maxwell, owner of the Daily Mirror Newspaper in London. Mr. Maxwell will input about $15 million into Sinclair in return for about 75% of the company. Sir Clive will step down as chairman, and Maxwell will take his place. | Sinclair QL |
| VIEWord | VIEWord is the first in a series of software packages for the TS2068 being produced by Jim Clatfelter. It is to be followed by MAIList and BOOKeep. Considering the quality and simplicity of VIEWord, I am looking forward to these other two. | Timex/Sinclair 2068 |
| Vieword Mailist Formail | VIEWord, MAIList, and FORMail are utility programs that would be most suited for the small business environment or personal home computing. VIEWord is an interesting (but easy-to-use) word processor. MAIList, as the name implies, is an address manager, and FORMail is a utility that uses files from both VIEWord and MAIList, to print formal type letters. | Timex/Sinclair 2068 |
