A port of Gottlieb’s 1982 arcade classic, Q*Bert challenges you to hop your orange character across a 3D pyramid of cubes, changing each cube’s color by landing on it while avoiding a relentless cast of enemies — the bouncing Coily the snake, the color-reversing Slick and Sam, and the erratically moving Ugg and Wrong-Way. Each stage requires landing on every cube to advance; later levels add complications such as requiring two passes per cube or reverting cubes already changed. Enemies can be dispatched by luring them off the edge or via flying discs floating at the pyramid’s sides, which also return Q*Bert safely to the top. The TS2068 version reproduces the isometric pyramid layout and color-change mechanic using PAPER attribute switching, with UDG characters representing Q*Bert and the enemy cast.
