Bank Switching for the ZX81 There was a time when 64K of memory was more than enough. No longer is this true and a common complaint heard about small computers like the ZX81/TS1000 and the Commodore 64 is that their memory is too limited and that the computers are therefore unsuitable for “serious applications”. The problem is particularly acute for Timex/Sinclair 1000
Letter from Bill Roberts On Sunday, May 5, I’m planning on giving a lecture on power supplies, how to design and build them from scrounged parts. Reliable power supplies, both fixed and variable voltage, can be built by following a few simple rules.

Preliminary Information on the Oliger/Kingsley Disc System The hardware of this disc interface will consist of the main disc interface board (board “A”), the firmware/banking/memory board (board “B”), and/or the 64K memory/CPM board (board “C”). All of these boards will be designed to plug into the Oliger 2068 Expansion Board, so this board is, of course, required. Timex/Sinclair 2068
Routine to Print Headers I ran across this routine for the Spectrum in England. You can use it if you have a Spectrum emulator. When you run the routine, it will ask you if you want to print to the screen or printer, and then ask you to name the tape. (Simply press ENTER to skip this.) Now start Timex/Sinclair 2068
The Last Word There are a lot of items which are since Timex folded. An example is the Memotech High Resolution Module: it can’t be found for love nor money. Now, a company, LMAA LTD., like has been formed to solve this problem. LMAA LTD. acts kinda a broker. You tell them what you want, i.e. Module, Memotech
Welcome This is the first issue of Volume III, (just in time for summer), and the third year of existence for the Group. I think that we Timex Sinclair Users’ have a lot to be happy about. Our group is growing all the time. The last time I checked with Doug, we were approaching 500 members.
