- An inexpensive computer and interface for research in the behavioral sciencesThe Sinclair ZX81 computer and Byte-Back BB-1 control module are very inexpensive devices that can be used to control equipment in a psychology laboratory. A simple program and description for interfacing the system to a Skinner box are presented.
- ANOVA programs for Timex/Sinclair 1000, 1500, and ZX81 microcomputersEleven statistical programs for the Timex/Sinclair 1000, 1500 and ZX81 microcomputers are listed and described in a 167-page book. The programs can run relatively large data sets using less than 16K of memory. Accurate calculations are performed with difference formulas and provisional mean formulas.
- Computer controllers: Adapting the Sinclair ZX-80 for laboratory useDifferences between the MicroAce and Sinclair ZX-80 are described. Adaptation of the Sinclair ZX-80 for a previously described laboratory control function is discussed.
- On-line computers in psychology: The last 10 years, the next 10 years—The challenge and the promise1980 marks the 10th anniversary of the National Conference on the Use of On-Line Computers in Psychology. There have been dramatic changes in the applications of computers to psychology during that time, with even more dramatic developments in theory and methodology. Current advances in distributed processing and the rapid dissemination of inexpensive microprocessors portends even…
- The MicroAce: An inexpensive computer controllerA $200 computer system is described that can act as a laboratory controller. Advantages and disadvantages of the system are discussed.
