Full-featured modem software that links the modem to the disk, allowing uploads or downloads of files larger than 100K. Send NMI saves and large text files as well as Basic or code files, which other modem programs couldn’t send because of memory limitations. Also files can be sent with or without a information header (Spec-term compatible).
It has a 64 column display and is the only 2068 modem program that will run at full 1200 baud without missing characters. Other features of the terminal mode are IBM graphic characters, auto-dialer, macro keys. 110K disk buffer for captured text, auto repeat keys.
The BBS is the most elaborate available for the 2068 and allows the remote user full access to the disk drives similar to a CP/M BBS. Features of the BBS are:
- 300/1200 baud operation with fast response even at 1200 baud
- Passwords
- Priority levels
- Use time limits
- Multiple Message Bases
- Uploads and Downloads are not limited by memory.
- Dual Window Monitor screen.
- Interupt driven time out and Hangup protection.
Also keeps a user log of caller’s names and activity on disk so a printer isn’t needed and its easily customized and expanded. MAXCOM can be used with the 2050 modem or with the Z-SIO RS232 interface and a 300/1200 baud modem.
