Arend Nieuwenhoff was a draftsman and machinist for Heald Machine Company in Worcester for 43 years before he retired. He was an Army veteran of WW II serving in the European African Middle Eastern Theater. Arnold was an avid amateur astronomer and a past president of the Aldrich Astronomical Society for many years, starting their newsletter in 1958. He enjoyed model trains and was a member of several railroad clubs.
