Loco-Motion is an action game for the ZX Spectrum, written by Parker Brothers in 1984 as a ZX Interface 2 cartridge. Written entirely in Z80 machine code, the game puts players at the controls of a locomotive navigating railroad tracks across a scrolling countryside landscape.
Players must guide their train along the rails while managing speed and fuel, picking up cargo, and avoiding hazards such as horses and riders that wander across the tracks. The status panel displays the current level, score, high score, fuel reserves, speed in mph, and cargo status. The game progresses through multiple levels of increasing difficulty.
