HYBRIDIZATION AT ITS BEST DEPT
The Commodore 1351 Mouse can be used with the LarKen system. Plug the mouse into the Kempston joystick, hold down the right button and power up the system. The mouse goes into a joystick mode and is eminently suitable for “mousing around” with Art Studio and the like!
MEETING NOTICE
Since many of our club members will attend the SMUGfest the week before our June meeting was scheduled, the June meeting will not take place.
RAINBOWFEST A SUCCESS!
Bob Swoger reports that the Rainbow Fest at the HyattRegency in Schaumburg, Illinois, sponsored by the Glenside Computer Club (a non T/S group) is now history. While 8 former vendors dropped out, 3 new ones surfaced. Stewart Newfeld of Zebra was there. Zebra has moved to Pennsylvania but still has a lot of Timex peripherals and tinkerer’s items. Some may go to the SMUG Fest with Bob. Stewart wants to hear about interest in Talkers, I/Os, A/D converters (the last 2 are used in control systems). Neal Schultz and John Heberlein of SMUG Fest fame were there and visited with Bob who showed them his program, LogiCall, on a 2068. They went away with the program and CATUG disk 1 to preview. Although attended by 50 less people (not a significant drop), they were elbow to elbow Friday and Sunday.
