You know how those tape to tape backup routines usually only work on “good” original copies, but what about a tape that’s not so good? Is there a way to save that tape?

The other day, I received 2 tapes full of Public Domain programs, of course they were recorded on a different tape recorder than mine and I had the worst time trying to load them. So, I decided to make a REAL tape to tape backup routine that actually reconditions the cassette signal! (The other ones usually record back all the noise between programs which is one of the reasons they don’t load.)

Out of all 120 something programs, only 3 failed to load correctly after they were reconditioned by TAPE CORRECTOR, not bad hey?

To use the routine, set up 2 tape recorders so that one plays the original copy into the EAR of the computer and the other records on a backup tape from the MIC. Just follow the instructions on screen.

If you do not wish to see the border flicking like the normal save just take out the REM in line 850.

This routine works even on our fast load!
