This program can be used for a wide variety of decisions… It will help you choose the best stereo, help you decide to take a job or not or help you select the best course of action for the future.

The Menu

1) Choose an ITEM (or thing)

2) Choose a course of action

3) Decide ‘YES’ or ‘NO’

Just enter 1 to 3 depending on the type of decision you want to make. If you choose 1 then you will be asked to enter what the ITEM is (PRINTER, STEREO, etc…)

If you chose 1 or 2 then you must next enter a list of all the possibilities (Makes of printers, of stereos, etc…). To end the list enter ‘END’. You must have at least 2 possibilities!

Then you must enter all the factors that are important in your decision like the price, the warranty, etc… To end the list enter ‘END’. You must then tell the computer which of these factors is the most important and input its number.

Now the program will ask you to rate the importance of each of the other factors relative to the most important one. The most important one is given a value of 10 and you must assign a value between 0-10 to each of the other factors. If you give 10 to a factor it means that it is as important but a lesser value means it is less important.

Now you must rate the decision possibilities (makes of printers, etc…) with respect with each of the importance factors. Considering ONLY that importance factor, you rate each possibilities. The computer will put 10 to one of the possibilities and you must assign a relative number to the other ones (lower, higher or equal to 10).

The computer will then let you know the best choice. You will also get a rating for each possibilities in percent.

Once you are finished the program will display a menu in which you are able to go back to the program to change only some entries or add more factors or possibilities…

Have fun!!!
