This little goodie will let you create formulas with all mathematical functions found on the TS2068 + 2 special functions, SUM and AVERAGE. You can enter up to 100 formulas and up to 200 texts in a 26×99 grid (that’s 2574 cells in all!).
Once the program has loaded the main menu will appear, choose your printer (TS2040 or FULL-SIZE printer) by pressing the appropriate number then when you have selected your printer press enter to go back to the main menu. You are now set to do your calculations! To get the “sheet menu” press spacebar when working with the spreadsheet. Pressing “m” will return to main menu, “c” will calculate the formulas, “p” will print on the printer, “e” will erase either a formula or text, “t” will enter either text or data (number), “f” will enter a formula.
When in Edit formula mode, if there is a formula in the cell you’re at the computer will automatically edit it. To enter a formula you should type in the word in CAPITALS + the value in parenthesis. IE: SIN(102+A01) You can put numbers or cell numbers (A01) in a function and you can use as many parenthesis as you wish. You have a maximum of 32 characters per formula and 100 formulas.
All functions must be typed in except for AVERAGE and SUM. Here is how they work; Average you would type in like this: AVE[A01..Z99] use the brackets instead of parenthesis. The computer will calculate even backwards (Z99..A01) it doesn’t matter, it is the same for SUM: SUM[B35..Q86]. The AVE[A01..Z99] would take all the values from all the cells indicated in the brackets (A01 to Z99), add them together and divide the total by the number of cells contained in the brackets (A01..Z99=2574, A01..b01=2, etc…) SUM only adds all the cells contained in the brackets. Here is an example of a formula: SIN(AVE[Z99..A01]+MIN[A01..A10]) (no more than 32 characters!)MIN[A01..A10] & MAX[Q25..Z50] will take the lowest and highest value of the cells within a given range.
When in text edit, you will be asked if you want to either enter text or data. The text is only 7 characters long! Also you cannot enter text if there is a formula in that cell. The data can be anywhere within the computer’s limitations.
If you chose Erase then you will have a choice between erasing a formula or the text (to erase data just go in Edit text and choose data and input 0!). Just choose the one you want.
The print option will either print on the TS2040 or a full-size printer depending on which one you chose. The print driver for full-size printers should be at 64000 or so.
The calculate mode is a little slow so don’t panic if you don’t get an answer instantly!
