As most of you are aware, ZX COMPUTING is one of the best sources of inormation for the poor TS user in the States. Unfortunately, the editors decided to change the format from a bi-monthly mag to a monthly. The new look just does not live up to their old standard as a magazine known for its useful programs and information. Now it primarily a source of reviews. But never fear, there is a whole girth of magazines available to the TS user which seem to reach a happy medium. I’ll just touch on several of them in this article and give you a brief idea of what they have to offer.

YOUR SINCLAIR, 14 Rathbone Place, London, W1P 1DE, England, published monthly. Cost #25($37 US), accepts VISA and MASTERCARD. This magazine is a good mix of SINCLAIR news, tips, reviews and programs. Although there is very little for the ZX-80 or ZX-81, there is a wealth of new information, reviews and programs for the SPECTRUM (most will fit the TS2068) as well as the QL. This magazine’s format is similar to ZX COMPUTING but the program listings seem to be easier to read. I recommend this magazine.

SINCLAIR USER, EMAP Business & Computer Publications, Priory Court, 30-32 Farrington Ln., London EC1R 3AU, write for rates. This magazine is similar to YS but it tends to have more reviews of new and current programs than programs to poke in yourself. There are several columns devoted to helping novice computerists and those who are expiriencing problems with their computers (not with our SINCLAIRS!!!!). This magazine has excellent advertisements althought I can’t vouch for any of them. If you need or like to read about software before you buy then this magazine is for you.

CRASH, Newsfield Ltd. 1-2 King St. Ludlow, Shropshire SY8 1AQ, write for rates. This magazine is a happy medium between the above two. It has about the right amounts of news, reviews and programs. The advice offered to those having problems is straight forward and easy to follow. Of the three, I recommend this above the others.

Next time, I’ll cover other computer mags which have alot of SINCLAIR information but are not limited to just these computers. If anyone would like to write, here is my address:
