Squidgy Round the World

Squidgy Round the World Version 6.5 is a colourful QL arcade game with up to 50 locations written by Michael Crowe. As a character, Squidgy is introduced as a friendly being pursued by certain characters who would like to perform experiments on him. Why would these people want to do this to this poor little creature? Well, it seems that Squidgy came from a Gravel Pit in the Cotswold Lakes and is thought by these nefarious people to be a relative of the Loch Ness Monster or the Yeti; we never do find out if this is true. The player’s job is to keep Squidgy out of the hands of these nasty people as he explores the world. This is the premise of this game and why we are going from location to location. At first the idea of 50 different locations seems rather daunting, but the world is a rather large place.
