Joan Kealy has reported the she recently spoke with a Timex Customer Service Rep. During which she was told that ai though they no longer will service out-of-warranty computers, they they will continue to honor warranties to the best of their ability.

Ron Havlen (4307 Chambers Rd, Horseheads, NY 14845) has Modem-7 and IMP operating with a TS-2068 and Zebra FDD in CP/M mode. This is good news for telecommuters with the Zebra FDD. He is offering these programs and other CP/M software for free. All you need to do is mail Ron a blank diskette will return postage. it’s a deal that is hard to beat!

Jay Siegel reports that he has been able to use his TS-1000 to telecommute at 1200 baud using the Memotech RS-232 interface and a program that it came with it doesn’t allow for file transfers, but it is FAST!

ZX-Appeal reports that WEYMIL has stopped carrying T/S related products and now only supports MS-DOS machines.

Leo Majewski purchased one of the $85 TS-2068s from the Brooklyn Closeout Corp and he reported that they sent him a used (perhaps refurbished) machine wrapped in plastic without a manual.

According to Mark Steuber of Sharp’s (QL Dealer), the 288 from Cambridge Computer is selling for $499, but that price will increase due to the falling dollar.
